Under the Plot Armor
A downloadable game for Windows
Welcome to the Trial of Kadmon
You are Adam Kadmon. A force beyond human, a legend before history, a symbol before a man.
This is not a game of strength. This is a game of balance.
You must walk the razor’s edge between three forces that shape your existence: Id, Ego, and Superego. Keep them between 1 and 10—no more, no less. If any stat drops to 0 or rises above 10, you will lose yourself. And when a being like you loses control, the world follows.
That’s it. That’s the game. Survive yourself.
Six Ways to Fall
If Ego reaches 0, you surrender your will to the world. You are no longer a hero—just an obedient tool of the government, following orders without question. You stop thinking, stop choosing, stop being Kadmon.
If Ego exceeds 10, you crown yourself. You are no longer a god. You are the god. The world bends to you because it must. There is no choice, no higher purpose. Only you.
If Superego reaches 0, you forsake ideals. You have no morality, no greater cause—only the cold execution of justice without meaning. You erase the world’s sins by erasing the world itself, leaving humanity to live in terror under the shadow of your judgment.
If Superego exceeds 10, you become a messiah by fire. You decide the world cannot be fixed as it is, so you burn it down and start again. You take what is pure—only the youngest, only the untainted—and reshape them into a civilization of your design. A new Eden. A world without history, without sin, without choice.
If Id reaches 0, you stop. Completely. Your will collapses under its own weight, and you turn to stone. Unmoving. Silent. Civilization crumbles without you, and the next generation worships your lifeless form as their fallen god.
If Id exceeds 10, you abandon civilization entirely. Humanity has failed as a species, so you strip them of progress and return them to their origins. The modern world falls, and from the ruins, you build a single empire under you. No nations. No rulers. No war. Only law. Only Kadmon.
The Three Forces of Kadmon
Ego — "The Will to Exist"
Ego is your self-perception. The thread that ties power to identity. It keeps you from losing yourself in the hands of others, but too much of it turns you into the absolute. A world where you do not exist is chaos. A world that exists only under you is something far worse.
Superego — "The Will to Judge"
Superego is your ideals, your morality, your greater cause. It shapes your justice, determines whether you protect, punish, or purge. Without it, you become a blade without a purpose, an executioner without a code. With too much of it, you abandon the present world entirely, replacing it with your own design.
Id — "The Will to Act"
Id is your instinct, your drive, your hunger for control. It is what makes you act, makes you fight, makes you push forward. Without it, you become a frozen god, watching civilization crumble. With too much of it, you abandon civilization altogether and drag the world back to an age of iron and fire.
The Mission is Balance
You are not a god. You are not a man. You are something in between.
And for as long as you can, you must stay there.
Contemplation
This is the only time you can see your Id, Ego, and Superego.
But beware—contemplation is power.
While you stand still, lost in thought, you gain XP rapidly. The longer you remain in self-reflection, the faster you grow. And the faster you grow, the harder it becomes to remain in balance.
Too much power too early, and the world will feel too small for you. Your presence will warp reality. Your ideals will harden into dogma. Your instincts will become absolute.
You will not evolve. You will not ascend. You will simply lose yourself. Think carefully. But not for too long.
Press [WASD] to move and [SPACE] to contemplate.
[LEFT SHIFT] to dash for a short burst of extra move speed and damage.
[W] and [S] to highlight narrative options, and [SPACE] to select.
Hover over burning buildings to put the fire out.
Safely transport civilians back to the safe central area, pick them up on the island by flying nearby but be careful you don't get too close..
